Brook Cherith Water Vending Monitoring System - Frontend Design Prototype
This is a frontend design prototype of an ongoing water vending monitoring system. The key of this project is to showcase and gather feedback with the end-user of how the web mobile looks.

The Problem
The client faces three critical operational challenges across their water vending business:
- Lack of Real-Time Monitoring: The client cannot track water levels remotely. This leads to unexpected stockouts and operational blindness regarding machine status.
- Equipment Damage and Overheating: When a vending machine runs out of water, the pump system lacks an automatic shutoff mechanism. Consumers can still insert coins, causing the pump rotor to run dry and overheat. This leads to frequent hardware failures and high maintenance costs.
- Inefficient Scalability: Recent business expansion to 8 water vending machines has compounded these issues. Without a centralized system, managing manual checks and coordinating refilling schedules across multiple locations has become logistically overwhelming.
My Role
I am solo full-stack developer of this project, exploring with IoT based applications.
What I Owned
Currently, I owned the design prototype of the project, to show the client the visual of the web mobile. But I am designing the architecture of the project. From integrating from hardware to a fastAPI app, using MQTT. To using Next.js to interact with the user.
Technical and Product Decisions
Of the my current production decision is to limit first the scope of the project mainly for monitoring the temperature and the low water level. With this we can focus on solving the operational problem of the business.
Constraints
One of the constraints are hardware skills, currently, I am into software so the execution may take longer as expect.
Result and Impact
The outcome of the prototype is that we have measured more on the scope of the project. We have agreed to implement the hardware first, then integrate it with the software.
